All About Big Block Modifieds in World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing
The Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified is the latest car to join the roster of dirt oval rides in World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing. Available both as its own DLC (along with Wheatland, MO’s Lucas Oil Speedway) and as part of our Season Pass, the Big Block Modified brings its own exciting flavor of racing to the game—here’s a look at what to expect!
What is the Big Block Modified?
The signature car of the Super DIRTcar Series, the Big Block Modified produces nearly 800 horsepower from its V8 engine. That makes it a more powerful machine than its UMP Modified counterpart, but the cars also feature very different body shapes and chassis, with open front wheels being their biggest commonality. As a result, the Big Block is a much different driving experience from the UMP—in fact, those who are used to racing 410 Sprint Cars may find themselves more at home in the Big Block than any other car, in part because the driver sits in the center of the chassis.
While the Big Block Modified is primarily campaigned in the northeast, with tracks like Weedsport Speedway boasting multiple stops on the calendar, it also takes part in the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park every February, and the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte each November.

These drivers are all selectable in Quick Race mode, and will show up as AI opponents throughout your racing experience.
Big Block Modified in Career Mode
Just like the UMP Modified, if you’ve purchased the Big Block Modified DLC, it’ll be added to your World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing Career Mode garage for free. And just like the UMP Modified, it’ll also be raceable at all three levels—Local, Regional, and National!
As the second DLC vehicle to join Career Mode, the Big Block Modified may be joining your garage well after you’ve built up a strong reputation and put some money in your virtual bank account. Even if not, it’ll be one of the fastest cars in your garage from the very beginning of your campaign. Be careful with your inputs, watch your throttle control, and keep it clean to make the most of your time in the Big Block at all levels.
